Questions
How much does it cost?
$8 / month, or $80 / year.
One flat price per forum — public or private, all core features, unlimited members, and a 4-digit house number from the open pool. No per-seat billing, ever.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — every forum starts with a 30-day trial, no card required. Your card is asked for only when you graduate to a permanent house number. The trial is the free tier; there's no permanently free anonymous tier.
What's a house number?
Each forum lives at a 4-digit address like 1234.banyan.town. Type a number on the home page to visit that forum. Short and memorable numbers (3-digit, repeats, sequences) are sold separately as one-time buys.
Can my forum be private?
Yes. Owners control read visibility, membership, and the join path — from fully public to invite-only.
Why "Banyan Town"?
The banyan is the village gathering tree — it grows slowly and shelters what's under it. That's the pace we're after.
